Face it - we've all been there. That's one of the beauties about travelling, its always made more memorable by the crazy stories you can recount. Here's one...

While traveling through Vietnam, I contracted a bout of "the runs". This made a bus trip I had from Hanoi to Hue rather uncomfortable. We managed to stop for a break, which at this stage I needed to go to the toilet, again (having already stopped the bus ride twice due to "illness of sorts"). So off I dashed and did my business. However, after having felt very relieved, I noticed there was no toilet paper in the cubicle. No stress I thought - I usually carried a roll of toilet paper in my backpack (a very good tip for travellers by the way). But in my haste to get to the toilet, I had left the backpack on the bus!!!! I had no tissues in my pockets, but I did have a wad of Vietnamese dong (the local currency)!!! So I decided that two 1000 Vietnamese Dong dollar notes would suffice, and the rest is up to your imagination - it was the best forty odd New Zealand cents I had spent in my life...
