The National Addiction

Over the course of the Rugby World Cup it has come to my attention that kiwis dont just love rugby, they're not just obsessed with rugby, they are in fact, addicted to rugby.

Whether this is healthy or not remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, this addiction is infecting Yahoo!Xtra Answers like nothing I've ever seen.

We've had people arguing over the finer points of the rules, trying to figure out who's going to win the 2007 RWC (as if we don't know already), and making all sorts of crazy suggestions like dropping the bonus point system.

For folks who like to strap their boots on, there's advice on how to build functional strength for rugby, which, having seen the physiques of rugby players, I think we could all learn something from. As well as advice on tactical plays and the type of characteristics you need to be a good rugby player.

Those happy to watch from the sidelines (or pubs), have been explaining the All Black's traditional song to each other, choosing the best looking player and riling each other up by about reducing the score for field goals or enforcing a limited penalty count.

If you're not getting enough rugby love from Answers, check out the Yahoo!Xtra Rugby site as well as blogs from Neil Reid, Buck Shelford and The Man in the Stand.
